What Brockwell’s Watching – July

Hey y’all. Here’s a quick rundown of the shows I’m watching and what I think you might enjoy as well. I’m a sucker for half hour comedies, great storytelling and even some trashy mindless reality TV thrown in the mix. Let’s get to it!

First up – AVENUE 5 (HBO MAX)

I usually like my comedies to be grounded on “planet Earth” so I was very surprised that I liked a show taking place on a futuristic “Space Cruise” so much. Very VEEP vibes.

Next – Stath Lets Flats (HBO MAX)

I know the show’s title is a mindfuck to say, but it’s honestly hysterical, great British comedy. Stath’s comedic timing is insane and definitely an incredible binge-watch if you can get through the thick Cypriot accents.

Master of None (Netflix)

Never watched it, finally got around to it, (halfway through Season 1 right now). Enjoying it thoroughly. I see the hype, give it a shot if you haven’t.

Genera+ion (HBO Max)

I’m a sucker for a good high school coming of age drama (not a shitty CW one). In all the places Euphoria felt ridiculously over the top, this one feels authentic. Great storylines, real characters and definitely a guilty watch.

Below Deck Season 7 (Peacock)

You don’t need to know much, other that this drama filled crew charters luxury yachts for super-rich guests in beautiful Thailand. Give it a watch for your daily dose of travel porn and trashy TV.
