The Tap Daily

The Tap Daily is a West Coast based pop culture and entertainment website that features humorous and quick reading articles to keep you up to speed on daily news.

A recent Twitter post by XXL Magazine is going viral for challenging its fans with questions about the best and worst rappers of all time. The XXL rapper survey asks the basic questions like who’s the G.O.A.T. and who do you dislike the most, which honestly were difficult to answer when you realize how many rappers are currently tearing up the music industry. This seemed more interesting than any of the political bullshit that’s overpowering Twitter today, so I decided to take the survey with the whitest answers you’ll probably see anyone give this thing so far.

Favorite Rapper of All Time: Eminem. I mean seriously, does anyone even come close to touching Slim Shady? The dude’s almost 50 and he’s still destroying freestyles.

Rapper I Dislike: Dababy. Guy sold out to mainstream music so fast it’s laughable. Every song sounds the same, and I just hate his face honestly. Go sing a song with Dua Lipa and then try to pretend to be gangster.

Rapper that grew on me: Machine Gun Kelly (MGK). I honestly thought his new punk rock stuff was pretty trash but if you go back and listen to some of his unreleased rap music from the pandemic you’ll see what I’m talking about when I say he’s actually pretty nice.

Most overrated rapper: Juice WRLD. I know I’m gonna hear some pushback on this one. I just think his lyrics were way too basic. Yeah he was a great talent and I’m not saying he’s bad, I’m just saying he was not the rap god everyone said he was.

The G.O.A.T.: Tupac. I gotta pick him as the G.O.A.T. purely because of how he influenced so many present day rappers. His music is still great, but his roots of influence in modern day rap are what make him the greatest.

You got any better answers than what I just put up? Comment how you’d fill out this survey below and let’s see how you fair against my perfect list.
