Red Wine Season Is Here

Alright people, lets get down to business. October in SoCal is still hot at the start, but we are approaching red wine season. Fellas, we need to be ready for all the holiday parties, meeting the girlfriend’s family and many other social occasions that require some class to get ass. Lets face it, we don’t want to break the bank here but we still want to show up to the function with a decent bottle for the price. Here are my top 3 red wines that will make you look good while also not totally fucking up your budget.

First off and the best bet, DAOU Cabernet. You can get this at any grocery store around and even CVS. DAOU is one of the top 2 wineries is Paso Robles so its fairly local and many people is SoCal are used to seeing it. DAOU is a luxury brand that runs you about $25-$30 depending on where you’re at. DAOU also offers a Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Rose so there are a few options for you to choose from. Can’t go wrong with this.

Next up on the list, Freakshow Cabernet. Freakshow is a solid wine brand that most people don’t know about. The bottle is fucking sick with a circus label that is a cool conversation starter and the juice is top notch. Since most people don’t know about this brand, you can boast a fake knowledge of fine wines. Freakshow also offers a Chardonnay, Red Blend, Zinfindel and Rose in most stores. If you’re meeting your girls dad for steak night, bring the Zin and wow the party. Freakshow will run you up about $20-$25 depending on the chain you get it from.

Lastly, and my personal favorite, Hess Allomi Cabernet. This is a bit price heavy but it is worth it. It will run you about $40 but trust me, its worth it. The cab slaps ass and I have not met someone who didn’t love it. Hess Allomi is a bit harder to find but yo can get it at most Ralphs and many Pavilions and Sons stores. Usually customers won’t know what it is, so you can impress people by bringing this one.
