Kings Clinch a Playoff Spot

In a surprising turn of events, the LA Kings have officially clinched a playoff spot for the 2022 NHL season. What the hell, I know. The Kings were supposed to be a borderline wildcard team at best and were one of the favorites to miss the playoffs. After a year of frankly overachieving, the Kings somehow finished 3rd in the Pacific Division, beating out the Vegas Golden Knights in a surprising finish to the year.

While the Kings are still battling serious injury issues, they most likely will get crushed by the Oilers in the first round. However, as a Kings fan, the Oilers are an ideal first round a opponent because that always find something to chalk on in May. Its like clockwork. The Oilers most likely will win the series since they’ve been one of the hottest teams in the NHL over the past few months.

If I had to guess, the winners on the Playoffs would be either the Florida Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes or the Colorado Avalanche. In the Western Division, theres no way the Ads don’t win and go to the cup final, their team is that good. But hey, fuck it, the Kings were a surprise and made the dance so I couldn’t be a happier fan. Even if they lose in the first round, the fact they made the playoffs with a ton on injuries is a win for sure.
