Bengals defensive end, Sam Hubbard, announced something extremely inspiring today on the Pardon My Take Podcast. According to Sam the Bengals team collectively wants to win a super bowl to honor Harambe, the legendary gorilla killed in his Cincinnati Zoo enclosure back in 2016.
Aaaaaaand the Harambe jokes are back! Murdered in cold Gorilla blood, the only thing Harambe was ever guilty of was trying to protect a little boy that fell into his enclosure… And potentially rip him apart like a rag doll but hey! Innocent until proven guilty! Personally, I find this completely hilarious and nothing shy of expected from a team of dudes that probably screw around in the locker room 24/7.
Honestly I bet they have some sort of Harambe relic set up in the corner of their locker room at home, and potentially a travel sized one for roadies. Only reason they waited 6 years to dedicate a potential super bowl win to the gorilla is because it took them that long to even get close to doing so.
Time to dawn the “dicks out for Harambe” posts, t shirts, and inspirational quote dedications on social media. I’m sure he’ll be watching Joe Burrow and the Bengals tear it up from his seat in heaven, right next to Tupac and Biggie. Honestly it’s kind of funny how Cincinnati is trying to win in his name when it was the city that killed the damn thing. But hey, I’m with the Bengals on this one! Dicks out for Harambe! Now go get our boy a super bowl.
