Whiskeys are nice, ciders are great… but can I introduce you to the new fall drink you didn’t even know you needed?
I walked into my local liquor store looking for some brown to sip on last Sunday night and came across a fat bottle E&J Apple Brandy sitting on the shelf. I’d had E&J’s “French Vanilla” Brandy before (I love to throw it in my iced coffee), but never another variation. I like apple, and I was in a dark-drink fall mood, so I picked it up not really knowing what to expect, just excited to give it a try.

I poured myself a glass of it over some ice and let me tell you, I was blown away. All the fall flavors of apple cider, without the any of the intense, sugary sweetness. This Apple brandy over some thick, cold cubes is the perfect classic, warm and fuzzy fall evening drink. Makes you just wanna throw on a fire and sip all your sophisticated troubles away, because guess what, you’re drinking brandy now, buddy. And at $10 a bottle, it can’t be beat. And, the great news is, even though it’s 30% alcohol, it goes down smoother than silk. Try it, I promise you won’t regret it.
